Split back, used, postmarked Dublin 1964 but missing stamp and mailed to Scarsdale, NY USA.
Extensive inked note reads,
"Dear Gloria & De -
I finally got a letter from you last night after I returned from Killarney
(now I have been everywhere.) It was a full day's trip, 190 miles by train. Then
we went around the lakes, 14 miles by horse drawn cart. It was fun. country beautiful.
I was in a dither, butterflies in my stomach, when I read your letter with the details. Poor M- it was
a terrible experience., horrible to live with. So sorry you told Joanna, there was no reason
for it while she is away. I know how shocking it was now to continue ? ?, it is hard to live
with the thought - I wouldn't tell Alan until he returns. Love to all, Mother.
Leaving for London tonight - We might arrange to go to Lisbon ahead of schedule, if we
cann arrange it. We are ? the tour of Ireland."
