DESCRIPTION: Doonbeg is a village in west County Clare, Ireland, on the Atlantic Coast.  It is surrounded by dramatic scenery and has developed as a tourist resort.  The area was officially classified as part of the West Clare Gaeltacht, an Irish-speaking community, until 1956.  The Doonbeg Golf Club, now known as Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Ireland, is situated outside the village.
